Tim Read

Tim Read – Committee Member

Tim was fortunate enough to have a forty-year career in the production side of the industry during which he was an editor, a producer and worked at Film Australia, the AFTRS and the Australian Film Commission.  Throughout his time in the industry Tim also served on many craft and lobbying committees including the Film Editors Guild of Australia, the Screen Producers Association of Australia, the Australian Film Council and TV Make it Australia.  

Outside of the industry, he was an Honorary Governor of the Melanoma Foundation and a member of the Cancer Council NSW Ethics Committee.  

Tim served as President of the Society of Australian Cinema Pioneers for three years 2017-2018-2019.
